Blast Resistant Glass

In our offer, we provide special armored glass designed to protect against the effects of explosions. Their application primarily includes high-risk facilities such as government administration buildings, critical infrastructure, embassies, airports, and industrial sites. Glass manufactured in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN 13541:2012 maintains integrity and controlled fracture of the pane, minimizing the risk to individuals inside the protected facility.

The EN 13541 standard specifies testing methods for glass under the impact of blast waves caused by explosions and classifies them into four categories: ER1, ER2, ER3, and ER4 – from basic to the highest level of resistance. This enables the proper selection of glass type depending on the characteristics of the facility and the level of threat.

Unlike solutions based on polycarbonate, our glass relies exclusively on high-quality laminated glass and specialized interlayers, ensuring greater durability, resistance to aging, and resistance to weather conditions.

One Standard for All of Europe

The standard PN-EN 13541:2012 is the Polish edition of the European standard EN 13541. Within the European Union, every EN standard must be published in each member state as a national standard — without any technical modifications.

This means that PN-EN 13541:2012 contains exactly the same technical requirements as its equivalents in other countries, such as:

  • DIN EN 13541 – Germany

  • NF EN 13541 – France

  • ČSN EN 13541 – Czech Republic

  • LST EN 13541 – Lithuania

As a result, any product certified to this standard in one EU country automatically meets the same safety and performance requirements throughout the entire European Union, ensuring a consistent level of quality and protection.
