Anti-burglary glass
Years of experience in the production of burglar-proof glass and the highest quality of materials used are a guarantee that our glass will protect every home against burglary and theft.
Burglar-proof glass effectively replaces the most commonly used types of security: bars and anti-burglary shutters. Roller shutters are only effective when they are closed, which is a clear signal to a thief that no one is home, while bars negatively affect the aesthetics.
Burglar-resistant glass provides an element of surprise and prevents thieves from breaking it and opening the window from the outside. The resistance to impacts from even a several-kilogram hammer or ax can effectively discourage a burglar.
All anti-burglary glass manufactured by our company has qualification attestations and certificates which confirm the product’s class.
Anti-burglary glass – what do you need to know?
Investing in anti-burglary glass brings numerous advantages. Let’s focus on the key benefits that make it a smart decision for your property. While high-end security glass may come at a higher price point, it is a truly worthwhile investment, delivering reliable performance and peace of mind for years to come.

Safety Glass or Anti-Burglary Glass? Make a Conscious Choice.
Both types of glass – safety and anti-burglary – are used wherever there is an increased risk of glass damage or breakage. Their main purpose is to ensure user safety and protect against the consequences of unexpected accidents.
Safety glass primarily protects people from injury – when broken, it doesn’t shatter into sharp pieces, significantly reducing the risk of cuts.
In contrast, anti-burglary glass offers much greater resistance to impact and forced entry. Thanks to its multi-layered structure, it effectively delays or prevents intrusion, providing an extra level of protection for homes, offices, and public buildings.
The choice between the two depends on your needs – personal safety or enhanced protection against burglary.
Specialized construction
Burglar-resistant glass from MEGAL is an essential element of any security system. Thanks to its specialized construction, it offers exceptional resistance to impacts and attempts at forced entry. Its design makes it extremely difficult to break, significantly increasing the level of protection against unauthorized access. An additional advantage is that it does not become dull or delaminate under high or low temperatures.
Wide range of applications
Anti-burglary glass of the appropriate class is commonly used in storefronts of commercial buildings, public facilities, museums, and jewelry shops. It’s important to remember that the glass itself is only one of the key components of a window system. This means that its anti-burglary properties should not be equated with the overall resistance of the entire window.
Anti-burglary glass is also ideal for use in apartments, houses, offices, and company headquarters. Moreover, it is perfectly suited for shop windows, especially where valuable goods are displayed. It provides effective protection for homes and businesses against burglary while maintaining the highest level of aesthetics.
Anti-burglary glazing and its classification in accordance with the EN 356 standard

One Standard for All of Europe – Unified Requirements Through EN Standards
The PN-EN 356 standard is the Polish implementation of the European standard EN 356. In accordance with the principles of the European Single Market, each member state publishes the same European standard (EN) as its own national standard, without introducing any substantive modifications.
Therefore, the Polish standard PN-EN 356 is technically identical to its counterparts in other countries, such as:
DIN EN 356 (Germany)
NF EN 356 (France)
ČSN EN 356 (Czech Republic)
LST EN 356 (Lithuania)
This ensures that a product certified according to this standard in one EU country meets the same stringent safety criteria in every other member state.
Before selecting the appropriate burglar-resistant glass, it is important to remember that it should not be the only protective measure applied. Additional security measures are always necessary.
