Privacy policy
The personal data controller for MEGAL is “MEGAL” Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (limited liability company) with its registered office at ul. Marsa 13, 04-202 Warsaw, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs maintained by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, 13th Commercial Division of the National Court Register under number KRS 0000095968, NIP (Tax Identification Number) 532-17-90-965, REGON (National Business Registry Number) 017447883, hereinafter referred to as MEGAL.
The personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), which entered into force directly in national legal systems on 25 May 2018.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, MEGAL collects information that is not personally identifying, such as: browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.
The purpose of collecting non-personal data is to better understand how Internet users use websites and to compile aggregated statistics on visits to our own websites.
MEGAL also collects potentially personally identifying information, such as IP addresses. However, MEGAL does not use such information to identify users and does not disclose such information except where required by law.
Collection of Personal Data
Some visitors to MEGAL’s websites choose to interact (e.g., by filling out a form), which requires MEGAL to collect personal data. The amount and type of information collected by MEGAL depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we may ask users leaving a comment on the blog to provide a name and email address.
In each case, MEGAL collects such information only to the extent necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with MEGAL.
MEGAL does not disclose personally identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to provide personally identifying information, with the understanding that it may prevent them from engaging in certain activities related to the website.
Visit Statistics
MEGAL may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. These statistics are maintained for internal use only and are not disclosed to third parties. MEGAL does not disclose personally identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personal Data
MEGAL discloses personally identifying information only to those of its employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to process it on MEGAL’s behalf or to provide services available on MEGAL’s websites, and who have agreed not to disclose it to others.
Some of these contractors may be located outside of Poland, within the European Union, where uniform personal data protection rules have applied since 25 May 2018. By using MEGAL’s website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
MEGAL does not rent or sell potentially personally identifying information to anyone.
Other than to its employees and contractors as described above, MEGAL discloses personally identifying information only when required to do so by law.
If you are a subscriber to the MEGAL newsletter and have provided your email address, MEGAL may occasionally send you an email or request your feedback. MEGAL takes all necessary measures to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of personally identifying information.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and which the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns.
MEGAL uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, assess website usage, and record access preferences.
Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using MEGAL’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of MEGAL’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.
MEGAL does not store any sensitive personal data. Personal data will be stored for no longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose of its processing and may be deleted at any time upon the User’s request. The User has the right to:
- correct, supplement, update, or rectify their personal data;
- object to the processing of their personal data;
- request the deletion of their personal data;
- exercise the right to be forgotten.

The Seller uses IP addresses collected during Internet connections for technical purposes related to the administration of the MEGAL website.
In addition, IP addresses are used to collect general statistical information.
The Seller uses cookies. Information collected via cookies enables us to customize services and content to the individual needs and preferences of buyers, as well as to compile general statistics on the use of MEGAL websites.
Disabling cookies in your browser generally does not prevent the use of MEGAL websites.
MEGAL undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of processed personal data. Upon completion of services related to data processing, it deletes all existing copies, unless European Union or Polish law requires the storage of personal data.
If MEGAL becomes aware of a personal data breach, it shall, without undue delay, report the incident to the Polish supervisory authority (GIODO) and, if necessary, to the Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of Digital Affairs within 72 hours, and promptly notify the affected individuals.
